Philadelphia Philpot was established in 1991 by celebrated Sydney milliner & stylist, Wendi Nutt Wendi has been making superb headwear & styling women for the races for over 20 years and many of her clients have won “Fashions on the Field”. Wendi specializes in exclusively designed hats and headpieces for celebrities, race goers, brides and mothers of the bride, film and TV productions and YOU ! She works closely with her clients and their couturiers, designers and dressmakers, providing advice and guidance – making sure her inspirational designs are tailored to enhance their personality, their outfit and their individual style. An extensive background in art, screen-printing, fabric design and sculpture which started at just 16 years old, assures you of a unique piece of creativity. 10 years in the TV & Film industry steered her towards the theatrical side of millinery where she makes many exotic pieces for the industry. A tour of London, Paris & Italy in 2006 inspired her to return with new enthusiasm to ensure the women of Australia wear only the best quality couture hats! Her studio in Balmain is truly an inspiration...not only for her exquisite range of hats and headpieces, but for her display of paintings and sculptures. “My aim is for my clients to feel totally relaxed when they arrive at my studio and to enjoy being part of the creative process while having their exclusive piece designed - and to leave my studio not only feeling confident but to radiate !... to look and feel magnificent when wearing my hats!” Wendi |
