Lynette arrived at my studio with a soft blue, World War II New Zealand Air Force Cap that belonged to her father.
It was in quite good condition except for the years of thick dust and the deterioration of the leather hat band inside.
The cap was made from a strong, denim fabric and after some of my love and kindness, it came up sparking!
As the inside leather hat band was frail and falling apart in my hands, I removed it and sewed
a piece of beautiful, vintage gross grain hat ribbon in its place. Lynette was thrilled to bits!
