12 Jan Restoration of her Mother’s 1983 bridal crown headpiece

Hannah came to my studio with a vintage handmade bridal crown that was quite out of shape
and in need of some restoration and restyling. She tells the history of the headpiece below.

“Mum and dad were married in Jan 1983 at Sacred Heart Church, Mosman and mum wore this headpiece and veil
… I then wore it to my Communion at 10 years old!

34 years later on 7th Jan 2017, Philip and I were married in the same month, exact same church and wearing my mother’s headpiece.  When I popped the headpiece on and mum saw it, she cried … It was a very special moment”

 “Wendi turned my mother’s precious headpiece – my ‘something old’ and ‘something borrowed’, into a gorgeous crown.
It suited my style and theme of my wedding to a tee!
The addition of the pearls looked beautiful and re sizing and shaping meant it sat forward on my head rather than back.
