Restoration & repair of a 1947 New Zealand Policeman’s hat

As I grew up in England, I was thrilled to see Gloria’s 1947 New Zealand policeman’s hat, as it was similar to the English “Bobby” hats worn by the British policeman.

The hat was worn by Gloria’s husband when he was in the New Zealand Police force.

It was very dusty and needed some love, tenderness and a good clean!….but it was an absolute joy to restore.

Gloria was very happy with my restoration and the hat has now been passed down to their nephew, who is training to be a Policeman.
