21 Jan Restoring and repairing Vintage Hats

As a collector of treasures and antiques of all kinds, vintage hats and headpieces are on the top of my list when cruising markets or antique stores.  I have been extremely lucky over the years, to be given beautiful 1930’s to 1960’s vintage hats from gorgeous strangers and clients, who know I will cherish them.

It is always a pleasure to restore and repair these hats, and I hope milliners in the future will say that about my hats!

I lovingly restored these four beautiful, vintage hats for my client Yolanda. They belonged to her Mother, and were in need of some love, care and repair.

They are so beautifully made…. and like my couture hats,  they are stitched by hand and not a drop of glue is used.
It shows us that quality does last forever!  Yolanda was thrilled with the results and plans to wear the fabulous
green one to an upcoming wedding.
