The ribbon around the brim was rotting and falling off and the previous owner had attempted to glue it back on...
I really enjoyed restoring this beautifully made, 1970's Naval Hat for my client Ainslee.
It belonged to her Grandfather who was Rear Admiral D.V. Hunter - Commander of the Royal Ceylon Navy and Sri Lanka Navy from July 1970 to March 1973.
